heyo... with permission from the authority... im here to address regarding todaes band prac..
as u guys may noe.. todaes attendance was bad.. to simply put it.. its atrocious.. there were less then 20 ppl in the band room at 12.30 (the time when u guys were required to fall in) isnt that pathetic??? super pathetic. imagine, a band who has approximately 40+ ppl missing. have we forgotten the quote "one band one sound, one missing no sound" ?? this afternoon, 40 missing, what do you think the sound would be??? negatively bad??? in fact, it was worse.
i understand that we should show our gratitude to the teachers from our primary school by going back and also to chat with our long lost primary school frenx. but as mr ong said, arent mr masree and mr ong also teachers? shouldnt we give them the present of our presence??? we could always go back to our primary school another time wat.
luckily, another ten or so ppl came back from their primary school visit. it did helped a little but still, many are still missing. just think abt it, if u dun turn up for todaes practice, wat do you stand to gain?? in fact, the band director be it mr masree or mr chew have to teach us the things that were taught todae all over again the nxt prcatice. doesnt that waste ur time, the conductors time, and even the time of those ppl who had came for both practices, only to learn the same thing all over again instead of learning something new??? arent you being too selfish?
syf is coming. and in 2 weeks time, cca would be suspended. after the exams which is after 14 october or so, band will resume again. by then, things will really go like a choo choo train. the nxt thing you know, u are rushing like hell and it would soon be syf. so we would realli hope to finish many things fast.
